 Finding and Downloading Product Connect Enabled Components on the Google 3D Warehouse


The quickest way to incorporate Product Connect enabled models into your project via the 3D Warehouse, is by using SketchUp’s Get Models tool in the Google Toolbar (View > Toolbars > Google; see Fig. 1).

When you click Get Models, SketchUp brings up a 3D Warehouse web-dialog in which you can search the using the phrase “Product Connect” to browse the entire catalog of Product Connect enabled models (see Fig. 2).

Or you can choose “Collections” from the drop-down next to the search bar to find and browse the main Product Connect collection (see Fig. 3)

The Product Connect collection contains manufacturer specific catalogs of SketchUp components that are compatible with Product Connect’s Report Maker tool (see Fig. 4)

Once you’ve found a product that matches the specs you’re looking for, click the download link to import the component directly from the Warehouse, into your current SketchUp project.
